Who Called Me From This Phone Number?

We've all had the experience of getting a call from a blocked phone number. Sometimes it's just a single annoying phone call, but others are a repeat of harassment. Not knowing who's on the other end of the phone line is a stressful and scary experience and the whole reason caller ID was invented in the first place. Unfortunately, people can now block the caller ID on their number, so you can't see their true phone number.

Who Called Me From This Phone Number?

However, this problem has a solution now. With 411 reverse engines, you can access more information than ever. However, the downside to these 411 reverse engines is that you need to have the unblocked phone number to look it up. Luckily, you can now download an app through ICaughtU. This app allows you to unmask the true identity of blocked phone numbers that will not leave you alone. To test how well this would work, we tried it out ourselves to get a good feel for how registration works.

Our Researcher Findings on ICaughtU and if it helps when you ask "Who Called Me From This Phone Number?"

To ensure that we provided a useful test result that would help people rest easy, we had a researcher look through the app. They used it themselves and tested the features to ensure the bugs were worked out and taken care of.

As a result, our researcher found that the app had a sleek design that was easy to use, working the way it was meant to. As a result, the app works exactly the way you want it to without getting too over-complex and unpleasant to use.

How To Reveal a Blocked Number when you're wondering "Who Called Me From This Phone Number?"

With iCaughtU, you can easily unmask hidden phone numbers. This can easily be run through a 411 reverse lookup and can be added to a list so that it doesn't call you again. So know exactly what phone number is calling you, and never ignore the phone in fear again.

Step 1: Register

Head over to iCaughtU.io to sign up for your free trial to see if the service will work for you. Enter your mobile number, email address, password, and phone carrier. Registration is simple: emailing you to complete registration in just a few moments.

Next, open your email. Straightforward instructions will walk you through calling the number to set up the necessary call-forwarding process. In addition, the email includes detailed instructions on how to complete registration and use the app when you need it. Our researcher liked this touch because we felt informed and supported by the app.

If you had trouble setting up the service through the phone call as specified in the email, don’t panic. Downloading the app will give you another way to finish setting up the service.

Step 2: Download the App

The app provides a dashboard where you can keep track of the total number of calls and how many of those have been unblocked or missed. It also provides a dashboard where you can access the app's other features (more on those later!)

Exploring the app was a fun job for our research team. With a cool, simple look, it was easy to navigate and look around. It wasn't complicated and could be mastered quickly, without muss and fuss. Buttons on the top right-hand side give you access to features. The first button from the right is Settings and Support. The middle button will let you access and update your Account Details. You can access the Blacklist by toggling the circle with the slash inside at the top (the third button from the right).

Step 3: Never Fear the Phone Again

Now all you need to do is be patient for the next blocked call to come through on your phone. When it does, click Reject on your phone. This will forward the call to our servers, where it unmasks the caller and sends you the caller's real number. You can receive this through email or SMS, depending on your choice.

We found that when a number with caller ID blocked came through, and we rejected it, it wasn't long before we received an email detailing the correct phone number. We had more information about our caller within the hour.

Additional Features To Keep You Safe and Informed when you're wondering "Who Called Me From This Phone Number?"

Setting & Support

The first thing to know about this feature is that this is where you can complete registration if you are struggling to do so with the phone number and instructions from the email. By clicking on Activate, you can begin the three-step process. Continue through to choosing your provider, and the system will take you through the steps to complete registration.

Choosing Contact Support will take you to a page with the WhatsApp support number. You can even choose to be taken straight to a WhatsApp chat with support so you have immediate assistance with your issue.

This page also has more information and support for some frequently asked questions and the option to Log Out of the App.

Account Details

This page allows you to update personal information and choose how you get updates on what phone numbers are calling you. Toggling between email or SMS alerts was very easy. Our research team loved this option because it was very easy to change, depending on the best way to reach them at any given moment of the day or how they were more comfortable handling their security.

Blacklist

Easily one of our favourite features of this app is the Blacklist. This is a call list you can create right from the app that sets up a specific response for people on that list. Once someone with a blocked caller ID calls, you will receive his or her true phone number. Add this phone number to the Blacklist, and the next time they try to call, they will hear, "This number has been disconnected". They will never call you again, thinking your number has been disconnected.

Once you select the Blacklist on the main page of your app, a small button featuring a circle with a cross through it, you will be able to add a new number with the big blue button at the bottom of the screen. It is as simple as adding the number and continuing with your day, never to hear from them again. Our researchers found it incredibly easy to use- almost too easy. Of course, adding people to this list that you should not (we are thinking in-laws and bosses) will be tempting.

Supported Providers

iCaughtU is available in the Israel, UK, and the US, and apparently, they're working on adding more places to the list. Depending on your whereabouts in the world, they have different selections of service providers. If your service provider is not listed with iCaughtU, Unmask Private Calls will not be available to you until they are able to add that service provider.

However, you will still be able to use the Blacklist option. Check out the website for a full list of supported service providers in your country.

Blocked caller IDs can make us feel less safe, like we have no control over who calls us and when. By masking their true numbers, these callers think they can keep you from blocking their numbers and never having to hear from them again. With 411 reverse lookups, you can easily find out the real number that's calling you and add it to a Blacklist that keeps them far away.
